PTO Date Change

Heads up, Dominion Customers!

Your solar net metering credits could be impacted.

 Per Dominion Energy’s policy, any excess solar credits will reset to zero on your PTO anniversary date (the date your system was activated). These credits do not roll over to the next year.

We encourage you to watch the video we’ve created explaining how to reset your anniversary month to avoid losing your credits.

Let’s save your credits!

You can make a one-time change to your PTO anniversary month.

For most customers, switching to March works best to maximize credits through the winter months. Dominion will match the exact date to your billing cycle.  In rare cases, a different date may suit unique energy patterns (e.g. a home with gas heat and a pool). If your current PTO/anniversary date is sometime in early spring, no action is needed on your part! 

Option 1: We analyze your usage for $75

The Tiger Solar team will assess your energy usage to pinpoint the optimal PTO month for your system. By analyzing trends and patterns, we help ensure you maximize your PTO credits year-round.

Once we have determined your ideal PTO month, contact Dominion Energy to submit your change request.
