Churches, mosques, synagogues, and other houses of worship are more than buildings. They are pillars of community, service, and compassion. But as these organizations grow their programs and outreach, rising energy costs and environmental concerns can strain already tight budgets. That’s where solar panels for houses of worship can make a powerful difference.

Solar Systems for
Houses of Worship FAQ

Does my congregation qualify for the 30% tax credit?
Yes, houses of worship still qualify for the 30% until Summer 2026 when the tax credit depreciates.
Are my congregation's buildings or roofs good candidates for solar?
The good news is most roofs can support solar panels. There are important factors to consider though before solar panel installation. For example, the age of your roof, its structural integrity, and what materials it’s constructed with. Our solar consultants would be happy to do a site visit and energy audit to see if you are a good candidate for solar.
Do you offer lease agreements and power purchase agreements (PPA's)?
Yes, depending upon your congregation’s location, we offer flexible project financing structures. Tiger Solar offers ownership, Power Purchase Agreements(PPAs), and lease options, resulting in solutions to be tailored to financial, tax, and operational needs. Own it or structure it. Either way, your system performs.
