Commercial Project Profile
Christ Community Church
Client: Christ Community Church
Location: Charlottesville, VA
Completion: May 2025
Located in Charlottesville, VA, Christ Community Church is dedicated to serving its congregation and the surrounding community with purpose and intention. As part of its broader sustainability goals and commitment to responsible facility stewardship, the church chose to invest in onsite solar energy to reduce operating costs and increase long-term energy independence. Partnering with Tiger Solar, Christ Community Church installed a rooftop solar system designed to generate clean, renewable energy while complementing the structure and functionality of its facility.
Christ Community Church’s solar installation features a 50.84-kilowatt rooftop system consisting of 124 modules paired with two inverters, efficiently converting solar energy for onsite use. The system was engineered to integrate seamlessly with the church’s existing infrastructure and utility service. Overall, the project balances performance, durability, and aesthetics while maximizing available roof space.
With the system in operation, Christ Community Church has positioned itself to significantly reduce its reliance on utility-supplied electricity. The rooftop array provides clean energy directly to the facility, helping stabilize operational expenses. Beyond the financial and operational advantages, the installation reflects a thoughtful investment in the physical campus – enhancing sustainability while maintaining the integrity of the existing structure. The result is a high-performance energy solution that supports the church’s ongoing work within the Charlottesville community.
